Write, edit, edit, edit, proof, submit, repeat! My job was easy.

@ Jill - girl, I am SO proud of you! I'm glad you've found your path through your plan. Awesome! Plan! ...Erin, you've hit another homerun here! Plan! Plan! Plan! You can't say it enough. When I started writing, oh, dear, over three years ago, now, the word wasn't even in my vocabulary. Not in my career path and not even in my writing. I was a 'fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants' girl and my progress definitely reflected that.

However, I'm happy to say that thanks to the unbelievable network of friends I've been lucky enough to make, I now look at everything as a plan. Plans with goals and deadlines. (Aren't you proud, dear coach of mine?)

As always, re-blogging and posting this. ;)Jill Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16336227232690745889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5308411624957756191.post-69900610701207138532011-06-13T14:06:10.544-07:002011-06-13T14:06:10.544-07:00Wow, you were a super nice, committed agent. Submitting as much as I can--some things are actually winning contests and getting published--and started my blog last month. Hopefully this allegedly super important online-presence and platform building helps me out as a writer :]Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5308411624957756191.post-34899971761976061642011-06-13T12:12:23.990-07:002011-06-13T12:12:23.990-07:00Thanks, Lisa!

That way, you can be CONFIDENT you are putting your best work and effort out there. Educate yourself about the process, then rock and roll it! Will you still make mistakes? Sure, we all do...but you'll make them while you're moving forward not in circles. Coming up with a platform plan or a business plan as a writer is not easy, and I wonder if writers by their very nature resist this kind of planning. I know I do, but when I take the time to sketch out where I want to go and how I can get there, amazing things happen.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
